Parental Leave: A Story About Values

Most companies turn up their noses at policies.

Employers, especially business owners, often see crafting policies as a distraction from more important priorities and, generally, regard policies as boring, necessary evils to protect them from legal matters. In kind, employees often see policies as punitive instruments that, at best, provide net neutral value in context of restrictive “controls” for the benefits these policies afford.

At Rocket Code, we reject these norms and instead view policies as critical manifestations of our core values.
